MAIN JOB OBJECTIVE:

Reporting to the Director of People and Organization, this role will support Moncler and Stone Island stores, administering policies and programs in the following areas, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compliance and general HR policy and procedures. By leveraging their employee relations expertise, and with an unbiased approach, the ER Specialist will ensure a comfortable and safe work environment for our employees, provide guidance on HR topics, and mitigate risk for the Company.

 RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Employee Relations

  • Maintains good communication and a positive relationship with HRBPs and colleagues, managers, and employees to promote employee happiness and ensure a positive working environment.
  • Handle day to day employee relations issues for store employees, including but not limited to, disciplinary action, coaching and counseling, internal investigations, and terminations, ensuring consistency in decision making, along with compliance with local law.
  • Utilize pre-established guidelines and instructions to advise managers and employees.
  • Review, or prepare, written documentation such as corrective actions, performance improvement plans, job abandonment letters, etc.
  • Support with the development of and provide training to managers on Employee Relations topics.
  • Provide informal coaching to managers on human relations skills (supervision, discipline, etc.) and employment law.
  • Partner with Employment Counsel on employment cases and implementation of any new employment legislation.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies impacting employee morale, improvement of performance, workplace culture, workplace environment training.
  • Manage electronic learning management system for all Employee Relations trainings and ensure compliance with all legally required harassment trainings.
  • Assist with employee termination packages as it relates to store closings/job eliminations.
  • Lead the analysis and research to understand potential risks and the associated drivers of employee related concerns. After analyzing the information, make recommendations on changes.
  • Manage religious accommodation process.
  • Maintain all relevant Employee Relations documentation used by HR Management.

 

Policies and Procedures

  • Compile and document HR policies and procedures data from competitors/industry literature to keep abreast of changes.
  • Recommend, implement, and interpret HR employment policies and procedures.

  • Perform as a team player and participate in all activities contributing to the overall objectives of the Human Resources team and Company.
  • Contribute to and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead by example and adhere to the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required and communicated by management and/or the Company.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required in HR or related discipline.

 

Work Experience

  • 3 – 5 years progressively responsible HR experience with exposure to Employee Relations
  • Experience supporting retail specialty or luxury environments preferred.

 

Special Skills and Personal Attributes

  • Technologically adept with proficiency in Microsoft tools (e.g. MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook).
  • Aptitude for report writing, analysis, and navigating HRIS systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously, while managing multiple assignments within specified deadlines.
  • Experience working with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to take initiative and make sound business decisions.
  • Client-centric individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Professional presentation; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all employees, and management.
  • Possess strong attention to detail.
  • Maintain confidentiality and sensitive information.
  • Strong ability to drive for results without compromising ethics and quality.

Pay Transparency statement

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $80,000.00 per year to 95,000.00 per year.
