POSITION OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Planning & Allocation, the Allocation Planner will be responsible for the distribution of seasonal and permanent inventory to all stores. They will own both the initial allocations of seasonal orders and the in-season execution of seasonal replenishment; ensuring proper levels of inventory to meet financial targets. This role will work collaboratively with the buyers and store teams to maximize sales opportunities.This position is an in office position and allows for one day remote work. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Allocation

  • Manage and coordinate in-season replenishment and rebalancing activities based on business needs to maximize sell through.
  • Recommend and execute rebalancing of inventory based on shifts in sales performance, keeping in mind store capacities and visual merchandising requirements.
  • Evaluate assortment changes and update parameters within the system.
  • Communicate with regional and store teams regarding product requests and special event needs.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Conduct in depth style, color, and size analysis to make actionable changes at a store level.
  • Create and maintain weekly reporting on sales, shipping status and seasonal allocation status at a theme/store level.

  • Perform as a team player and participate in all activities contributing to the overall objectives of the department.
  • Contribute to and maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Lead by example and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a high-level standard of customer service, professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. 
  • Relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

 

Work Experience

  • 2-4 years of retail merchandise experience required.

  • Commercial mindset and strong drive for results without compromising ethics and quality.
  • Business acumen with demonstrated ability to evaluate trends and draw actionable conclusions to maximize business opportunities.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and work well autonomously, while managing multiple assignments within specified deadlines.
  • Technologically adept with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong ability to seamlessly learn new tools.
  • Client-centric individual who thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Professional presentation; able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all employees, and management.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Moncler includes a reasonable estimate of the salary rate range for this role. This considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions; including but not limited to business or organizational needs, skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $67,600.00 per year to $72,000.00 per year. 

 

The position requires 4 days per week on site in the Moncler Corporate Office, located in the heart of Soho, Manhattan.
