Treasury Accountant

Senior Treasury Accountant will be responsible for Managing and Monitoring Cash Operations including Cash Positioning, Cash Forecasting, Wire Transfer Payments, Account Maintenance and Funding, Fraud Prevention, and Bank Account Set Up/Maintenance and Bank Relationship Management. In charge of company payments by processing, booking and reconciling transaction, ensuring compliance with statutory and group policies.



  • Enter payments to billing systems in accordance with control structure - Execution of bank wires, ACH and checks
  • Journals creation for bank account transactions
  • Responsible for positive pay activities, processing stop-payments, and check voids
  • Perform bank reconciliations - reconciliation of the bank statement with the general ledger and reconciliation of any assigned clearing account
  • Maintain relationships with preferred banks
  • Analyse bank fees and implement changes as it relates to the operations with banks and financial institutions
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly Cash Flow Forecast / Variance Analysis in accordance with local and HQ related deadlines
  • Daily monitor of individual bank account balances, ensuring accurate funding and cash pooling activities
  • Responsible for bank accounts maintenance: update signatories cards/board of resolutions, open and close bank accounts as the case may be and managing KYC (know your client) requirements
  • Take leadership in company treasury related projects
  • Identification and management of new banking services and related projects
  • Review processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and improve internal controls
  • Ensure that all the deadlines are effectively managed and met
  • Assist with month end accounting closing
  • Ensure that confidentiality is maintained in the execution of the department’s operations 
  • Manage and respond to all audit requests, work with external and internal auditors on supporting information requirements



  • 4+ years of Treasury/Accounting experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferably in finance, accounting, business or equivalent work experience
  • Multinational luxury retail industry experience is a plus
  • Must have strong work ethic and be able to follow standard filing procedures
  • Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
  • SAP knowledge desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, strong treasury skills and data analysis
  • Basic understanding of financial and operational control system
  • Advanced communication skills as it relates to the interaction with banks, internal clients and executive management
  • Knowledge of the Italian language is a plus
  • Ability to work either independently and as a team player within a fast-growing and high-volume environment



This position is classified as exempt for purposes of the Fair Labor Standards Act and the New York Labor Law, as this employee’s primary duties consist of the performance of office or non-manual field work directly related to management policies and/or general operations.  Moreover, it is expected of this position that the employee will customarily and regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment, utilizing his or her training, experience, and knowledge.
