Product Owner App Mobile

In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, with the business, customer needs, defining and managing the product backlog. You will spread an agile culture to maintain a continuous velocity stream and provide guidance on lean agile product development.

 

In order to be successful in this role you have to be able to:

 

  • Understand current state-of-the-art capabilities of mobile retail apps
  • Know common mobile frameworks
  • Know native and hybrid app/ progressive web app technology and their pros and cons from a perspective of customer experience, time-to-market, technology and ability to scale
  • Maintain the mobile roadmap through collaboration with stakeholders and continuous prioritization
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts and Technical Solution Architects to translate the mobile roadmap into well-defined features and approved user stories that balance user needs, business constraints, legal/regulatory requirements and technology realities
  • Work with internal and external design resources to deliver development-ready UX/UI, including user/usability testing where appropriate
  • Own the delivery of the mobile roadmap through regular app/web releases by internal and external development teams
  • Accept deliverables after development, ensuring acceptance criteria are met
  • Analyze usage and user feedback, produce regular reports and recommendations to address issues and improve outcomes
  • Lead ongoing efforts to test and optimize the mobile experience
  • Monitor the industry and competitive landscape to inform mobile product strategy
  • Advocate for the mobile channel – and mobile users – both internally and externally

 

Requirements:

 

  • Experience planning, delivering and managing mobile apps, both web and native
  • Experience identifying, analyzing and solving complex problems using data and sound judgement
  • Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage limited resources to meet delivery dates
  • Ability to adapt with changing circumstances and embrace change with a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of the iOS and Android operating systems
  • Experience working with designers to deliver UX/UI
  • Experience working with developers to deliver mobile apps, both web and native
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies
  • Own and attends daily/weekly stand ups to ensure everyone touching the product is on the same page.
  • Demo product iterations to the rest of the company, including to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Define test and acceptance criteria to help uncover areas for improvement within the product.
  • Socialize product changes, both with customers and throughout the rest of the organization.
  • Most importantly, collect and implement product feedback from customers, technical team members, commercial team members, and other stakeholders.
