We are looking for a Product Impact Manager to join our Sustainability Department, in our Global HQ in Milan, Italy.

Your Impact:  

 

The Product Impact Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing sustainable and circular practices across the value chain through the entire journey of the product, from concept to customer and end of life of product. They work towards reducing the product footprint, eco-design, minimizing waste, reducing environmental impact, and creating a more sustainable fashion system overall.

 

Activities:

 

  • Assess and evaluate the environmental impact of products throughout their lifecycle (This includes raw materials, processing, manufacturing, logistics sales, after sales, repair, customer use and end of life), based on the French Loi CIimat and European PEF guidance
  • Create internal eco-design tool based on LCA driven data and scenarios 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, supply chain, and sustainability, to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of products
  • Analysis of product claims and labeling to ensure they are consistent with current and new laws regarding product sustainability attributes and ensure that they are informative to the consumer
  • Support traceability initiatives and systems and process data collection from the supply-chain that supports LCA at scale
  • Identification and analysis and enablement of take-back programs such resale platforms, and rental services. These initiatives help maximize the utilization of products, reduce waste, and extend the product life cycle
  • Monitoring and reporting: they track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to circularity and sustainability, and provide regular reports to management and stakeholders. Measure progress, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with sustainability goals and regulations

 

Who We Are Looking For

 

Main Qualifications: 

 

  • At least 6 years experience in the fashion industry with production, sustainability or design
  • Masters degree in engineering, environmental science or operations management
  • Knowledge of LCA analysis and data gathering techniques within the supply chain  
  • Have strong analytical skills, an ability to quickly grasp technical issues, assess data, and good knowledge of Excel or other modeling tools. Knowledge of PLM systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to write in Italian and English fluently, accurately and concisely. Other languages are considered a plus.
